| Split Personalities is just the name I came up with to represent all the different "Projects" I am working on. I enjoy a wide range of musical styles (mostly in the realm of Rock), and I write according to my mood. So, you never know what I might do. Because of this, I like to keep my different "styles" somewhat separated. Here are the different Projects I am working on, as well as the "Key" to help determine what project any given song is related to: Distant Words (DtWd) - This was my first project after leaving a band called Last Call back in 1996. Just after leaving the band I picked up my acoustic and started writing and recording with my 4 Track. This project came to full in the summer of 2002 when I started getting into PC Recording and my wife Tricia started singing for me. Distant Words represents my lighter to medium rock. Damaged Goods (DG) - I came up with this name not too long after starting Distant Words. I thought it would be a good name for a "Metal" band. Earlier in 2003 I recorded my first (and so far only) Damaged Goods song. Damaged Goods represents my harder rock to metal. Damaged Words (DW) - Basically a cross between Distant Words and Damaged Goods. This represents my Distant Words songs with me on vocals. Robert Lauer (RL) - This is just anything else I might feel the urge to do. Songs under "RL" could become Distant Words songs, Damaged Goods songs, or just stay unclassified.
